A few days back I had taken a break from work and gone to my hometown to visit my parents. It was an early morning flight and it was really cold outside. Things couldn’t have begun on a better note. I was thrilled to say the least. It had been four years since I had seen my family. I knew my younger brother would have grown much taller. The last time I had seen him was when he was a 12 year old. When I finally saw him waiting for me at the gate, I was really surprised. He had grown so tall. I was feeling a bit disappointed as I had never realized I was missing out on so much all these years. It felt good to walk in silence through the same lanes again. The hills behind my house were now a mix of the colors: green, red and yellow.
The air was fresh and I had never felt this relaxed in months. You never notice how a place keeps changing with time when you get used to seeing it everyday. But once you move out of that place and return after a long time, things suddenly seem to have changed completely. People you were used to are no longer there. There were families who had lost their kid, kids left without a father. So much had happened in what seemed like a very short period of time.

you miss a lot as far as i can say...cos playing with brothers will be good till he is of 16 or 17..then his circle will turn away and he would be least available at home!

Its really good to get back to your family after a long time. I was in hostel for 6 years and everytime i visit my folks, I find some difference in my city. Seriously a great feeling. :)
We tend to ignore the usual stuff but subconsciously it is the usual everyday stuff that are so deep embedded in ourselves.hope you had a great time with your fam
