Vuvuzela??

For those of you not aware about the most annoying musical instrument ever, let me introduce the vuvuzela.

This year, watching the FIFA world cup has been a bit challenging what with the annoying noise in the background. The first day I thought I must be going crazy. I even thought there must be something wrong with the signal, or the channel or with South Africa. Maybe, there were too many bees out there.

All my doubts were cleared when I came across a newspaper article about the Vuvuzela. Now, why on earth would anybody want to listen to this god awful noise for 90 minutes? Should it even be allowed? I was not the only one annoyed by this noise, thankfully. Footballers have complained about how distracting the noise is... fans have complained too. There was a report yesterday which said Vuvuzelas are here to stay, as it is part of the South African culture. How disappointing is that? Mixing culture with football makes no sense at all. Sing, dance, clap, cheer but stop playing the Vuvuzela please!

Tennis is at least strict about these things and one can never distract the players. Why can't FIFA do something? This year's world cup will be completely ruined, if someone doesn't put a stop to this noise.
